After a postal strike, big arguements and people getting fired, it’s taken well over 2 months to receive this CD for me to review. Was it worth the wait? Considering there were no massive Saosin fan’s in the team we were dubious but play after play we did start to enjoy it.

Dashboard Confessional have come a long way from their original roots of Chris Carrabba with an acoustic guitar. As they’ve progressed through the years I think it’s fair to say it’s been hard for them to match the sizable following they received with their earlier work, and it shows with their latest album ‘The Shade of Poison Trees’ almost falling into obscurity. Not that the album deserved it at all, it just lacked the hype that had come before it.

Flood Of Red are a promising upcoming band from Glasgow and I quite literally jumped at the prospect of getting to review their new album. I’m not going to make out like I’ve forever been a big fan of them but there is a good few tracks kicking about the office and we all rather enjoy them.
